Edgeview Homes is a growing organisation that is dedicated to providing high-quality support services to vulnerable adults across eight locations. The finance team plays a crucial role in the business, supporting operations in making strategic decisions. We are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team.  This is a key role requiring the need to maintain accurate financial records, support daily accountancy processes and ensuring smooth financial operations across the business.  We are looking for a person who can work independently while still being a team player.

.The hours of work will be 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday, although this can vary at times depending on the needs of the business. The role is office-based in Kinver.

THE ROLE:

To support the Finance Team by undertaking financial duties as well as other generalist administration duties as instructed by the Finance Manager.

Job Description:

Company Accounts:

·         Inputting purchase invoices onto Sage 50 Accounts with minimal mistakes or
discrepancies.

·         Auditing and maintaining Petty Cash payments, inputting onto Sage Accounts
and resolving any issues.

·         Raise invoices for any client related expenditure such as holidays, mileage, TV
Licences, damages, etc.

·         Auditing and maintaining clients’ money sheets and resolving any issues.

·         Assisting with utility invoicing for supported living client’s utility usage.

·         Preparing the monthly aged creditors run ensuring that suppliers are paid
within a timely manner and in accordance with payment terms.

·         Produce remittance advice notes for suppliers.

Client Accounts:

·         Access Client accounts using online Bankline system daily and general
management of receipts and payments.

·         Daily reconciliation of the clients account from client global account to
CareMaster system.

·         Processing payments/management of client’s invoices/bills.

·         Month end reconciliation of client accounts/produce balance sheet.

·         Purchasing requirements for clients and liaising with relevant suppliers.

·         Liaising with different homes to establish/prepare client personal money
requirements and organise any related paperwork.

·         Monitor individual client bank accounts and update monthly ledger sheets,
reporting any changes or anomalies to DWP and compiling any information
requested by DWP.

·         Liaising with Appointees/family members regarding personal allowance
requests. Submitting monthly transaction history records to appointees/family
members.

·         Input client resident account transactions onto CareMaster, and reconcile
CareMaster data with manual or other records.

Assist/cover for Administrative Assistance in absence:

·         Purchasing requirements for the Company and liaising with relevant suppliers.

·         Purchasing requirements for clients and liaising with relevant appointees and
suppliers.

·         Document production using various systems: Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50
Payroll, CareMaster, Microsoft Outlook (emails) & Microsoft Office (Excel &
Word).

·         General office operations, including filing and distribution of any relevant
documentation.

·         Answering phone calls and handling requests in a professional manner.

Cover for Finance Manager in absence:

  • Daily reconciliation of company accounts.
  • Updating of relevant spreadsheets.
  • Updating sales and purchasing transactions in Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Effectively manage cash flow.
  • Reconcile payments received to local authority remittance advice notes.
  • Complete monthly PAYE calculation and salary journal on Sage 50 accounts.
  • Chasing any debt recovery or queries regarding client fees with Local
    Authorities/CCGs.
  • Manage CareMaster software programme for sales recording and produce
    sales invoices/credit notes for client fees in line with relevant payment
    periods.


General:

·         Assist/cover for payroll as and when required using Sage 50 Payroll.

·         Complete any ad hoc financial information requests from the Finance
Manager, HR or Operations Teams.

·         Post holder may also be required to undertake any other duties reasonably
required.

·         Liaising with CEO/director on any queries.
